We are a full-service real
estate law firm with a particular emphasis on legal
issues pertaining to condominiums and condominium
associations. We serve clients throughout southeastern
Michigan and beyond. Our attorneys are licensed to
practice law in all state and federal courts in
Michigan.
With a newly-expanded and
capable staff of ten attorneys and eight
legal/administrative assistants (all of whom are
involved in some aspect of our condominium law
practice), we are fully capable of handling any and all
of your legal issues in real-time, as they arise. We
are dedicated to responding to all of our clients' legal
needs as soon as possible, in a prompt and professional
manner.
CONDOMINIUMS, REAL
ESTATE AND BEYOND
Although our practice is
heavily focused on serving condominium associations and
assisting individuals and businesses with legal issues
related to condominiums, we are able to assist clients
on a wide range of real estate legal matters. Our
typical clients range from the multi-million dollar
project developer who requires proper counsel and
drafting of the necessary legal documentation to
establish a new real estate project, to the condominium
association board of directors seeking assistance with
the collection of unpaid co-owner assessments and the
enforcement of bylaws, to the individual home-buyer
looking for legal guidance before closing on the
purchase of a single-family home.
We represent both
condominium associations and individual co-owners in the
course of our practice, which better enables our
attorneys to see both sides of every legal dispute
involving condominium issues. This comprehensive
perspective ultimately benefits our clients, through the
increased value of our services that is derived from our
attorneys’ multi-faceted perspective on the problems
that condominium associations and co-owners encounter on
a daily basis.
In addition to condominium
and real estate law, our firm has also expanded its
practice into other areas of law, including limited
liability companies and estate planning. Specifically,
our attorneys can assist individuals with the
preparation of wills and trusts, powers of attorney, and
can provide counseling on state and federal tax matters
relating to estate planning. We can also assist
individuals and business owners with the formation and
operation of limited liability companies. The limited
liability company is a relatively new type of business
entity authorized by Michigan law that combines the
positive tax attributes of a partnership with the
limited liability protections of a corporation.
KNOWLEDGE, VALUE AND
EXPERIENCE
Our firm provides a level
of service and specialized experience that is second to
none, at reasonable rates. Because our firm focuses
almost exclusively on the practice of law in the areas
of real estate and condominiums, our attorneys are
well-versed in these areas and are able to deliver a
quality of service that is equal or superior to the
level of service that one might be able to obtain from a
larger firm that does not practice as extensively or
exclusively in such areas. All of our attorneys are
learned in the voluminous set of rules and regulations
that apply to condominiums in Michigan, including the
Michigan Condominium Act.
If you serve on the board
or are a member of a condominium or homeowners
association, you will be hard-pressed to find a firm
that possesses a deeper level of knowledge and
experience in the areas of association and condominium
law than Alexander, Zelmanski, Danner & Fioritto, PLLC.
Our firm represents over 600 condominium, cooperative
and homeowners associations across the State of
Michigan. Our founder, D. Douglas Alexander, has been
practicing real estate, association and condominium law
for over twenty five years. Mr. Alexander has
personally authored sections of the Michigan Condominium
Act. Our attorneys regularly counsel board members,
speak at annual association and board meetings, and give
lectures at local colleges and law schools.
