D. Douglas
Alexander
has been a practicing attorney since 1978
and is the founder of Alexander, Zelmanski,
Danner & Fioritto, PLLC.
Mr. Alexander established the firm in 1980 and
set the standard for the firm’s specialized
focus on real estate and condominium law. On
January 4, 2002, due to continued success and
growth, the firm was reorganized as a Michigan
professional limited liability company.
During the course of
his career, Mr. Alexander has represented a
myriad of condominium associations, housing
cooperatives and homeowners associations. He is
thoroughly experienced in all phases of
condominium and community associations law. In
1988, Mr. Alexander also played a key role in
the enactment of the revised section 90 of the
Michigan Condominium Act, by drafting the
language of the amendment and testifying before
the Michigan Legislature to support the
amendment’s passing.
Mr. Alexander
graduated from Seaholm High School in
Birmingham, Michigan, and earned his Bachelor of
Arts Degree in Economics at the University of
Michigan in Ann Arbor. He obtained his law
degree from Wayne State University Law School.
Mr. Alexander is a
member of the Oakland County Bar Association,
the Real Estate Section of the State Bar of
Michigan,
and the Community
Associations Institute. He is also a former
director of the Community Associations Institute
of Southeastern Michigan.

Edward J. Zelmanski is
a member of the firm and has been working with
Mr. Alexander since 1997. He has substantial
experience with foreclosure proceedings, real
estate, bankruptcy, and housing matters.
Mr. Zelmanski
graduated from the University of Michigan in
1976 and earned his law degree from the
University of Detroit School of Law in 1979.
Mr. Zelmanski is a
member of the Real Estate Section of the State
Bar of Michigan. He has published materials on
a multitude of real estate topics and has been a
lecturer at both Wayne State University Law
School and the University of Detroit School of
Law.

Gregory J.
Fioritto
is a member of the firm. He joined the
firm in 2003 after practicing law with a
downtown Detroit civil litigation law firm for
several years after his graduation from law
school. Mr. Fioritto’s areas of expertise
include general real estate matters,
construction lien law, landlord-tenant issues,
condominium law, and business entity formation,
with a special emphasis on limited liability
companies.
Mr. Fioritto
attended De La Salle Collegiate High School in
Warren, Michigan, where he graduated with
honors. He graduated from the University of
Michigan in Ann Arbor with High Distinction in
1997, where he majored in Psychology and
received numerous honors, including Phi Beta
Kappa and recognition as an Angell Scholar. Mr.
Fioritto obtained his law degree from the
University of Michigan Law School in 2000.

Tracy N. Danner
is a member of the firm. She joined
the firm in 2004 after practicing law with a
downtown Ann Arbor law firm for several years
after her graduation from law school. With Ms.
Danner joining the firm, our practice has
expanded to offer individualized estate planning
services. Ms. Danner is certified in probate
and estate planning law by The Institute of
Continuing Legal Education. She also assists
the firm in its primary practice of condominium
and real estate law.
Ms. Danner is a 1993 honors graduate of Michigan
State University. She earned her law degree at
the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law,
where she was the Managing Editor of the
University of Detroit Mercy Law Review and a
member of the American Inn of Court. She has
been licensed to practice law in Michigan since
1998 and has been admitted to practice before
the United States Federal District Court for the
Eastern District of Michigan and the United
States Tax Court.

Lee S.
Schofield is an associate attorney
with the firm. He joined the firm in 2005.
Previous to his arrival, Mr. Schofield practiced
business law in Dearborn, Michigan. Mr.
Schofield has broad experience in international
and domestic business/real estate litigation and
transactions, and assists the firm in its
condominium and real estate practice.
Mr. Schofield
attended Brigham Young University as a Trustee
Scholar, and graduated from BYU with a degree in
Comparative Literature in 1996. Mr. Schofield
earned his law degree from Michigan State
University in 2000.

Mark
Davis
is an
associate with the firm. He joined the firm in
2007. He earned his Bachelors of Science Degree
from Eastern Michigan University in 1993,
majoring in Public Law and Government, with a
minor in Accounting. He earned his Juris Doctor
Degree at the Wayne State University School of
Law in 1997.
Mr. Davis is admitted to practice law in both
Michigan and Florida. After practicing law in
Florida for several years, he recently returned
home to Michigan, having grown up in the City of
Bad Axe.
He has extensive civil litigation and
litigation-management experience across a broad
spectrum of the law. Mr. Davis also served our
country honorably in the United States Army from
1983 through 1989.

Shane
F. Diehl
is an associate attorney with the firm. He
joined the firm in 2008. He has over 16 years
experience in representing condominium,
subdivision and co-operative associations in
Southeast Michigan. In addition, Mr. Diehl has
10 years of experience in the banking industry
and is a former instructor for the American
Institute of Banking. He has served as an
officer, trustee and member of numerous
non-profit and civic organizations including the
Four County Community Foundation and the Armada
Village Planning Commission.
Mr. Diehl holds an
Associate in Arts Degree from Ferris State
University and a Bachelor of Business
Administration from the University of Toledo,
Ohio. He earned his Juris Doctor Degree from
the University of Toledo College of Law in 1989.

Paul C. Schultz
is an associate
attorney with the firm. He joined the firm in
2009. Mr. Schultz earned his Bachelor of Arts

Catherine E. Mills is an
associate attorney with the firm. She joined
the firm in 2010. Ms. Mills earned her Bachelor

in 2004 from Middlesex University in London,
England and she earned her law degree in 2007

Law.
Ms. Mills has experience in landlord-tenant law,

Corene C. Ford joined the firm as an
associate attorney in 2010. Ms. Ford served as
a Judicial Assistant in the Third Judicial
Circuit of Michigan. She has extensive
experience representing clients in complex
commercial litigation matters, including claims
involving violation of non compete agreements,
minority shareholder oppression, business fraud,
and contract disputes. In addition, Ms. Ford
has experience representing condominium and home
owners associations in collection matters and
developer disputes.
Ms. Ford earned her
law degree as well as a Masters of Studies in
Environmental Law from Vermont Law School, where
she served as an editor on the Vermont Law
Review and graduated cum
laude in 2003. Ms. Ford also holds a
Bachelors of Science degree from Eastern
Michigan University. Ms. Ford is a member of
the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to
practice before the United States District Court
for the Eastern and Western Districts of
Michigan.
